Restorative Yoga

What is Restorative Yoga?

Restorative Yoga is all about creating the conditions to promote a state of deep rest - something which is desperately needed yet often overlooked in the busyness of our daily lives. We support the body with plenty of props to come into positions of stillness, this encourages our nervous system to down-regulate and promotes relaxation, healing and recovery.

This is a meditative practice in which we allow both body and mind to relax fully into the present moment. Suitable for all levels, all ages, and all bodies.

The benefits of Restorative Yoga:

  • deep relaxation for body and mind

  • balance an over-stimulated nervous system

  • release muscular tension whilst being gentle on the joints

  • boost the immune system and supports recovery

  • improved sense of well-being and decreased anxiety

  • improved sleep

  • encourages self-compassion
