*New* 6 Week Yoga for Beginners Course starting in October 2019 – a course for beginners and anyone wishing to revisit the basic principles of yoga – contact me for more details and to book a place.

  • Small group sessions (up to 4 people) – get together a group of friends in your own venue or come to me (1 – 1 ½ hours, price from £60 per session).
  • Private tuition and self-practice mentoring – see ‘Private Yoga Classes‘ page.
  • Corporate yoga classes/workshops – these can be arranged at a convenient venue and tailored to specific requirements. I have experience teaching regularly within an office setting, and teaching on one-off events such as team-building events.  Please contact me to discuss specific requirements.

In a typical class we work with the body and the breath, exploring mindful flowing movement and the deeper release that can be accessed within held postures. My teaching is based primarily on functional movement and an exploration of how it feels to inhabit your body in each moment.  In this way you are encouraged to develop awareness of your own body and to adapt the practice to suit how you are feeling.  After a few classes you can expect to feel stronger, more flexible and more ‘in tune’ with your body.  You will also learn specific breathing techniques that can be used for relaxation and stress relief in everyday life.

Some of the daytime classes are taught in the relaxed, informal setting of my house which gives us the luxury of working together in small groups and paying greater attention to each student’s individual needs. (Please note that many of the classes break for school holidays). Although classes may show as fully booked, spaces often come up at the beginning of each term, so do contact me if you wish to go on the waiting list for a space.

Student Testimonial:

“Rachael’s class is the highlight of my week as much as anything for the peace and mental space I find there.

After a very short period of time I have experienced a marked improvement in problems that I have previously spent many visits to the osteopaths trying to get rid of.

The class I attend is varied, professional, inclusive and above all very enjoyable. I wish I could go more often.”
